First of all, What is UX Design? Click here. Here are 5 basic strategies of Design Thinking Process to start with UX Designing.

  1. Emphasize with users
  2. Define the problem
  3. Ideation
  4. Prototyping
  5. Testing

Emphasize with users

This stage focus on developing a sense of empathy towards the users for whom you are designing for. It includes what users actually want from you, what they feel, what are the behaviour when they interact with the product.

By emphasising means totally giving attention to the user’s view neglecting all the other assumptions. There are techniques to perform this stage i.e

  • Interviews
  • Online Surveys

Define the problem

In this second stage, we collect responses from stage 1, analyse it and get a clear description of the issues. Basically it’s a clear and concise vision of the issue that need focus.

Here we create Personas and Customer Journey Map to get the better solution of the problem.

Ideation

After understanding the problem, start looking for a precise and effective solution of the problem. It’s a brainstorming session. Do all your research and generate ideas. Discuss the ideas with your peers to stay on the track.

Prototyping

It’s a crucial stage in Design Thinking Process. You have to design the ideas created above. Now while designing, don’t jump directly to the high fidelity wireframes. Take a paper and a pen. Start drawing wireframes and do prototyping. The minute you realise it’s worthy to draw high fidelity wireframes. Go for it.

Testing

The Consistent Stage is testing. After designing, start testing your solution. Hire few people and give them some task to perform. Notice the process they follow to achieve it. In case any problem arises, do update the flaws and send it back for testing. This procedure goes on until the user gets what he wants.
